A.H. Sarker

Chairman and CEO of the Group, is a prominent business personality in the country’s business community. He first established the Group what it is today. He was the founder Chairman of Dhaka Bank for initial period of 5 years. Mr. Sarker is a highly qualified person and gathered commendable experience in promoting and administering various industrial and business enterprises under Purbani Group. Soon after his post-graduation degree in Management in 1970 from the University of Dhaka, Mr. Sarker involved himself with international trade and business. By virtue of his sincere efforts and inherent dynamic leadership, he has established and is now managing a good number of profitable industrial and business establishments related to manufacturing and export of yarn and fabric, processing and export of readymade garments, fish processing and export, general insurance, banking etc.

Mr. Sarker is a widely traveled man who visited many countries of the world in connection with promotion of international trade and business. His involvement with the above mentioned business and industrial establishments bears testimony towards his business credential and capability.

Mr. Shafiqul I. Sarker (Sohel)
Another Director of the Group is the eldest son of Mr. A. H. Sarker. On top of a family legacy in textile business, he brings with him high academic background ‘Masters in Textile Management’ from North Carolina State University, USA. Prior to doing his master degree, he received BBA from Franklin and Marshall College of Pennsylvania, USA. Upon his joining the Group, he has enriched it with the management style, necessary to back-up the group’s rapid growth. Since his joining as Director, the management of Karim Spinning Mills Ltd. and Purbani Yarn Dyeing Limited have attained high degree of efficiency and as such those companies have planned for enhancement of the production capacity. Mr. Shafiqul I. Sarker (Sohel) has traveled various countries of the world in connection with higher education and international trade and business.

Ishaque Khan
He is an educated and dynamic businessman and, an experienced industrialist. He is now associated with Shohagpur Textile Mills Ltd and Purbani Synthetic Spinning Ltd as Director.

M. Yousuf Khan
Another Director of the Group, known in his circle as a charismatic businessman and a very energetic and dynamic management person, obtained B. Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from BUET in 1986. Mr. Khan is a dynamic professional who gained ‘hands on’ experience in managing industrial and business establishments. A director of the Purbani Group, he is directly involved with the management of Purbani Fabrics Ltd. and Karim Textiles Ltd., from the beginning of their implementation.

Mr. Muzaffar Hossain Sarker
He is an educated young man who obtained graduation in commerce from the University of Chittagong. On completion of his formal education, Mr. Muzaffar involved himself with the international trade and business. He is now associated with Shohagpur Textile Mills Ltd., Purbani Fabrics Ltd., Karim Textiles Ltd. and Karim Spinning Mills Ltd. as Director.
