At Purbani,
all processes and procedures are regularly
monitored to guarantee quality products. Some of
the procedures followed to maintain quality are
highlighted below:
Yarn:
The quality control starts from the purchase
of raw cotton. Before spinning the yarn, all
cotton bales are HVI tested and the spinning
process is controlled by Uster tested
parameters.
Fabric:
Most of the knitting is done in house. As
such we can control the loop length, defects and
avoid yarn lot mixing. All greige fabric rolls
are inspected before storing.
During the
dyeing process, for both yarn and fabric, all
batches are tested for PH, color fastness, and
all colors are matched by Data Color
Spectrophotometer.
In the
finishing process, all batches are tested for
Color Variation, GSM, Color Fastness, Light
Fastness, Perspiration and Rubbing Fastness in
our own lab.
The shrinkage
is controlled during the whole process from the
procurement of yarn till finishing of the
garments. After finishing of the fabrics the
shrinkage on the fabrics is tested by a Wascator
(ISO and AATCC approved).
Garment:
During the garment production, quality is
checked from the cutting section to the packing
section. Quality inspectors check the cutting
patterns and the bundle making. All sewing
production is constantly being monitored
in-line, and a 100% check is done at the end of
each line. In the packing department, we also
have a 100% check at the end of each line.
Furthermore, the packing department has
inspectors performing random checks.
Above all, in addition to the regular quality
controls executed in every section, there is a
separate audit team, who ensures all procedures
are followed accurately. |
