Situated on the north western corner of Dhaka in Gazipur, this unit is involved in manufacturing of finished fabrics for apparel manufacturing unit, Karim Textiles Ltd. As a backward linkage unit, Purbani Fabrics Ltd. is equipped with state-of-the-art European technology producing 100% knit fabrics.

Purbani Fabrics Ltd. is also located on the same premises as Karim Textiles which ensures a quick and unflappable supply to the group's garments factory.

This unit has 44 circular and 39 flat knitting machines. There are 6 Eight-Lock In 24 GG, 11 Single Jersey In 28 GG, 2 Single Jersey Engineering Stripe in 28 GG, 5 Rib In 18 GG, and 6 Body Rib In 18 GG circular knitting machines from Mayer & Cie of Germany, and 14 Single Jersey In 24 GG circular knitting machines from Falmac of Singapore. All machines are controlled with yarn loop and tension meters.

The 39 Flat Knitting machines are of 14 GG from Matsuya of Japan. All collars and cuffs are being checked on number of coarses.

Knitted rolls are being checked on faults, encoded with individual number and stocked in a separate warehouse. Our circular knitting capacity is exceeding 13 tons and we have a capacity of 10,000 sets of collar and cuff a day. Our greige warehouse capacity is some 70-80 tons. For fabric dyeing, the company uses thies dyeing machines (German origin). For finishing, it uses one Santex (Swiss origin) tubuler line and one Santex-Bruckner (Swiss-German origin) open width line. The daily finishing capacity is about 15 tons. The capacity of our finished fabrics warehouse is 50 tons.

Structures, Single Jersey, Pique, Lacoste, Interlock, Rib, Herring Bone, Knitted Twill, French Terry and other great designs.

In addition, this unit produces interlock fabrics in plain and lycra varieties of the highest quantity.
